| The
dicofiche is a micro processor controlled
automatic diazo duplicator, especially
designed for use with high reduction
factors (ie 50x microfiche).
Masters (microfiche or jackets) are
copied onto diazo roll film (300 x
105 mm) which is cut to length after
exposure.
The machine is easily operated, the
operator being guided by a menu shown
on a LCD display. Operator responses
are entered via a touch key bad.
One or more master fiche are placed
in the input hopper from which a pneumatically
driven suction device removes one
fiche at a time and places it in the
copying platen. The platen automatically
moves to the exposure station where
it is brought together with the duplicating
film and is exposed.

The duplicating film then
is cut to exactly 148 mm + 0-0,5 mm. The duplicate
is driven into the processor and a few seconds
later deposited in the receiving hopper. When
the platen returns to its original position
(after the required number of
duplicates have been made) the suction device
removes the master platen and places it in
the master receiving hopper. Simultaneously,
a new
master (if present) is placed onto the platen.
The number of duplicates per master and the
exposure time required can be pre-selected
via the touch key
pad. Thus, fully automated duplicating is
ensured.
The dicofiche requires minimal
operator attention.
Developer concentration is adjustable and
controlled by the dosage pump. This ensures
odourless operation, minimal developer and
absorber consumption.
The dicofiche switches the
lamp automatically after an exposure to stand-by
mode, thus ensures maximum lamp life. |
